Egg: This egg has only been recorded twice, and on both occasions, notes reflect an egg with no pigment. However, close examination of Plate A reveals pale yellow (almost white) pigment on the embryo adjacent to the oil globule. The chorion has a greenish tint.

Larva: The NH larva has the same pigment pattern as the late embryo, but slightly more consolidated on the oil globule (B). One day later the pale yellow pigment is spread ventrally along the notochord, with a shorter strip dorsally as well (C). By day 3 the yellow has brightened, in the pattern shown in Plate D. B: NH, C: 1 day, D: 3 days (23°C).

This species was only recognised in two samples off Park Rynie, the first collected in April 1992, the second in July 1997. Until further specimens are seen, and successfully sequenced for their DNA barcode, the species remains unknown.
